03 / Who's Cutting Your Film

Thirty-five years on glass.

Upshift Window Films is the house brand of the crew behind Tint Atlanta — a working shop in Woodstock, Georgia, not a dropshipper with a logo. The film in your kit is professional-grade stock from one of the world's top film manufacturers, the exact material our installers lay on customer cars six days a week.

We built kits for one reason: some people want to do it themselves, and the film they can usually buy is junk. Thirty-five years in this trade taught us that cheap film is the most expensive mistake in tinting. So we cut you the good stuff.

04 / Straight Answers

Before you buy.

Can I actually do this myself?

If you're patient, yes. Pre-cut panels remove the hardest parts — cutting on glass and pattern-fitting. Doors and quarter windows are beginner-friendly; one-piece back glass is the advanced round. The video walkthrough covers your vehicle's order of attack, and you can always call the shop if you get stuck.

Is this really the same film a shop would install?

Yes — it comes off the same rolls we install at Tint Atlanta. Professional-grade carbon and nano-ceramic film from a top-tier manufacturer, not marketplace mystery film.

What shade should I pick?

35% reads like a factory tint; 20% is dark; 5% is limo. Tint law varies by state — Georgia, for example, requires 32% or lighter on front doors. Kits ship in any shade; legality on your car is on you, so check your state before you pick.

What's the warranty?

The film itself carries a manufacturing warranty against fading, bubbling, and delamination. The install is yours, so there's no labor/installation warranty — that's the honest trade of DIY. If you'd rather have lifetime install coverage, book the shop.

What if I tear a panel?

It happens. Single replacement panels are cheap — call us at (678) 439-8468 with your order number and the window, and we'll cut and ship another.

How does shipping and tax work?

Free shipping on every kit, 2–3 business days to ship since each kit is cut to order. Sales tax applies to Georgia-shipped orders. Full details on the Shipping & Returns page.
